Fernbusterminal, Hotel und Parkhaus, Bremen, 1. Preis

In line with the study on the development of the plan area, the long-distance bus terminal is located in the extension of the track axis between the Überseemuseum and cinema buildings that characterise the urban space. The roof of the long-distance bus terminal thus forms the end of the visual ash from the direction of the main railway station. The hotel and the multi-storey car park border the long-distance bus terminal to the north and, together with the Fruchthof, form a shared square.
The design and formulation of this area therefore takes place as a high-quality town square and forms a counterpart to the station forecourt. The long-distance bus terminal is therefore more of a light and translucent construction that protects the users of the square from wind and weather.
